The remuneration of our employees, including our managers, is based on a standardized job grade concept at our larger sites. This keeps remuneration oriented towards the value contribution of the position that employees have and not their hierarchical placement. This ensures that remuneration within the company is perceived as fair and not bound to hierarchical structures. There can be cases of wages that go beyond this scale at such sites where specific positions, such as the Executive Board, are located. For instance, the average remuneration of an Executive Board member, consisting of the fixed remuneration, an annual variable component and a long-term variable component, corresponds to approximately 26 times the average remuneration of Symrise employees in Germany and around 28 times that of Symrise employees worldwide.
